Pick
fresh figs under the trees in a Northern Evia village
Experience Description
Join me in the village of Taxiarchis, in Northern Evia, for a unique,
hands-on fig-picking experience rooted in local tradition.
We’ll walk together through the fig trees on my family’s land, learn how
to spot ripe fruit, and harvest them by hand—just like we’ve done for
generations. The fig trees offer natural shade, and the atmosphere is calm,
warm, and welcoming.
After the harvest, we’ll gather around a rustic table under the trees to
taste fresh-picked figs, share stories, and enjoy the simplicity of Greek
summer life. It’s not a tour—it’s an authentic encounter, like being welcomed
by friends in the countryside.

🔹 About your host
My name is Sofia Lada, and I was born and raised here in Taxiarchis. My
grandparents came from Asia Minor, and I’ve known the fig tree since I was a
child—not just as fruit, but as part of our way of life. I’m excited to share
this piece of my heritage with you, through a relaxed and meaningful experience
in the heart of Evia.
